HOLOTYPE: Vaejovis pusillus Pocock Lectotype: F (BMNH), Omiltemi, Guerrero, México. Original description: Subsequent Accounts distribution: NORTH AMERICA. USA (central Arizona). Published Records: Vaejovis pusillus Pocock Paralectotypes: M, F (BMNH), same locality as lectotype. notes:Confusion surrounding the type specimens was discussed by Hendrixson & Sissom (2001). In that paper, the concept of the species was restricted to include only the type series. Material previously assigned to the species from Michoacán and Estado de México (Sissom, 1989a; Beutelspacher, 2000; Ponce Saavedra & Beutelspacher, 2001) are in need of further study to assess their species identities. The specimen from Cofradia, Oaxaca listed by Sissom (1989a) and Beutelspacher (2000) is now assigned to a different species, Vaejovis nigrofemoratus Hendrixson & Sissom, 2001.
