Management
Project
management, including assignment of responsibility for revising and assembling
information on groups worked on by project personnel, and assessment of
productivity and progress, rests with the PIs. Management decisions are based on
assessments of the knowledge and expertise of personnel and the complexity of
tasks. Progress reports are submitted to the PIs every six months and to NSF
annually. An annual meeting, scheduled to coordinate with fieldwork, allows
project participants to discuss the progress of their work, present preliminary
results, and expose trainees to senior personnel.
